Miss Tourism Taita Taveta - And The Winner Is......

Annah Olila Wughanga, 20 years old, 5.70 ft, International Business Administration student at United States International University (USIU) is the FIRST ever MISS TOURISM TAITA TAVETA.


Wughanga won the title during a competitive event held at Voi Wildlife Lodge.

A part from the crown that will make her County's Tourism Ambassador, Wughanga was also gifted a brand new CAR from one of the sponsors of the event GM Motors. We will give you more infor concerning the same as they unfold!

Well this is her take  on Tourism in Taita Taveta County:

Taita Taveta County is a small county on the south east part of Kenya.It covers an area of approximately 16,975 kilometers.It is home to two national parks ; Tsavo East and Tsavo west which have a large number of both domestic and foreign tourists.It also has water bodies such as Lakes Chala and Jipe in Taveta and Mzima Springs which also attract tourists.The Taita Hills and Saltlick Lodges sanctuary are also located in the county.Taita Taveta County is also home to the Taita Hills Forest which holds unique biodiversity with 13 taxa of plants and 9 taxa of animals found only in the Taita Hills and nowhere else in the world.This small county is a hotbed of natures' treasures and attracts many tourists with special inclinations like those interested in bird watching and seeing rare plants and trees.Taita Taveta County is a county that has immense untapped potential which can be turned to numerous opportunities for both the county itself and the country in general.
