Ranchers to bennefit from Zero-Interest Loans

Taita Taveta Ranchers to benefit from the county government negotiated interest free KCB foundation loans. The county will be the first to benefit from such loans which comes barely a month after being the first to benefit from the beyond zero campaign Mobile Clinic.

Speaking during the Rancher’s workshop held at Augustine George Resort, Eng. Mruttu assured the ranchers of his support. The county government will provide the technical advice as well as extensional services.

To transform the lives of our citizens, Eng. Mruttu believes Agriculture is the game changer.


“Though we also bank on other sectors like mining and tourism, it’s only in Agriculture especially livestock where you see your wealth multiply as time goes by.”

H.E. the Governor advised the farmers to shun from traditional farming methods and look at livestock raring as a business. He challenged the farmers to think on how to improve the pasture in ranches as well as provision of water in order to improve the quality of our livestock.

In conclusion, the Governor encouraged the farmers to take the KCB interest free loans in order to improve their livestock hence fetch better prices in the market.
